Kenya Trip Update: Things are Coming Together!

Sixteen days until the flight for Kenya leaves! As we are quickly approaching "launch day", things are falling into place. One thing that recently came together that I am excited for is my seats on the plane: I got to choose my seats and I get to sit next to two of my high schoolers on both our planes to Kenya and the one from Kenya to Paris on the way home! While not a big deal, I am super blessed to get to spend some time with them on our way to our mission.

Some other things that have been finalized recently include all paperwork and visas being completed and processed, necessary vaccines administered, medical and VBS supplies being purchased, and a very exciting last-minute stop in Paris being planned (We had a layover in Paris on the way home and some of the team chose to prolong that layover into a three-day stay. Even more exciting, I get to meet up with a close friend who is flying out to tour Paris with me!!)

I am looking forward to finally being in Kenya after months of preparation for this trip and years of prayers for an opportunity to go overseas. I cannot wait to get a glimpse into the work that God is already doing in Kenya and meet people there who are serving Him every day. I look forward to the doors this will open, the opportunities it may highlight, and the relationships that will be formed and strengthened through this trip.
